About Create Gwinnett
Our Story
Create Gwinnett is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2010 to strengthen Gwinnett County's creative economy. Formerly known as Artworks! Gwinnett, our organization was reimagined in 2024 to serve as the lead implementation partner for Gwinnett County's Creative Economy Plan.
Today, we work at the intersection of arts, culture, economic development, and community building. Through partnerships, advocacy, public art, research, and creative initiatives, we connect people, resources, and ideas to create new opportunities across Gwinnett County. Our role is to turn strategy into action by advancing projects, securing resources, fostering collaboration, and ensuring creativity remains an essential part of Gwinnett's growth and success.
What makes Create Gwinnett unique is our ability to serve as a countywide connector. As an independent nonprofit, we can access grants, philanthropy, and partnerships that help bring new resources and opportunities into Gwinnett while supporting all 17 cities and unincorporated areas of the county.
We believe creativity is a catalyst for economic opportunity, community identity, and quality of life. Through collaboration and shared investment, we're helping build a more vibrant, connected, and creative Gwinnett County for generations to come.
